The peculiar Nordland light is well known and so is the “Lofoten light»,, but few people know that Svolvær has a very special light. A light that occurs with strong refractions in the space between the sea and the mountains. A light that has inspired artists and others for several hundred years.

The magic light is also current during the dark period, but then the buildings and the streets are it´s main source while the northern lights and the faintest remnants of the sun create the magical and evocative landscape that surrounds the town.
